What items are restricted and/or prohibited in Nigeria?
Nigeria has a long list of restricted and prohibited items that cannot be imported into the country. A full breakdown of this list can be found on Nigeria’s Prohibited and Restricted Imports section, but the main items include:

- Chemically pure sucrose
- Dead or alive poultry (this includes frozen poultry)
- Cocoa butter
- Pork, beef and birds eggs

Will I have to sort out customs duties when sending parcels to Nigeria?
Although Nigeria would typically require customers paperwork for the majority of items, this is something The Delivery Group takes care of. We handle all customs regulations so you don’t have to. This also takes into account the UK leaving the EU in January 2021.
How much does it cost to send a parcel to Nigeria from the UK?
The Delivery Group does not offer definite prices for consignments and parcels sent to Nigeria as every order is bespoke to the customer’s requirements.
